Erin Stout of Runner’s World Magazine puts the spotlight on our President, Hawi and the emergence of HAWI Management in the track & field industry.


Merhawi Keflezighi, 37, isn’t accustomed to the exposure of track meets. He has spent most of his career as an agent tucked behind the scenes, watching from the seclusion of nearby hotel rooms as his star athlete and older brother, Meb Keflezighi, competes in marathons. The younger Keflezighi’s race-day ritual is to view most of the 26.2 miles on television, until the finish—whatever the result—is imminent.
